Pay & Route Details

  • $0.70 to $0.80 CPM based on tanker experience, Hazmat qualification, safety record, equipment type, and lane assignment. Weekly gross pay varies by miles, route, load type, and load availability.
  • Regional and OTR tanker freight opportunities available.
  • Liquid bulk tanker operations for qualified drivers with proper CDL endorsements.
  • Driver should understand tanker safety, liquid surge, weight distribution, loading and unloading procedures, hose connections, valves, seals, and spill prevention.
  • Duties include tanker inspections, securement of hoses and equipment, placard verification when required, route communication, proof of delivery, and accurate shipment documentation.
  • Hazmat tanker loads may be assigned only to drivers who hold the proper endorsement, meet all regulatory requirements, and are approved under company and customer safety standards.

Dedicated Driver Qualifications

  • Must be at least 23 years old and hold a valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, or X endorsement.
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR or regional tractor-trailer experience required; tanker or liquid bulk experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be comfortable operating tanker equipment and handling liquid bulk freight in compliance with applicable DOT and Hazmat requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical, DOT drug screening, background check, MVR review, and any required TSA Hazmat security threat assessment.
  • No DUI within 5 years, or 10 years if CDL holder at time of DUI.
  • No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years, no major accident within 5 years, and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years.
  • Must be able to use ELD/GPS systems, communicate with dispatch, complete shipping papers, bills of lading, proof of delivery, and tanker-related documentation accurately.
  • Must comply with DOT hours-of-service rules, Hazmat regulations, placarding requirements, emergency response procedures, company safety policies, and customer delivery standards.
  • TWIC card preferred when required for port, refinery, terminal, or customer facility access.
